Microsoft Access Tools

Under Tools | Database Specific Tools | MS Access Tools menu, you can find some Access specific tools to operate .mdb and .accdb files.

Creating Access database

To create a new Microsoft Access database, choose the corresponding menu item. You will just need to specify the name for the new database file.

Compacting Access database

To compact a Microsoft Access database, choose the corresponding menu item. Then, specify the database password. If the database is not password protected, just leave the Password field empty.

Notes

• These tools implicitly use Microsoft Access ODBC Driver. So, make sure the driver is installed and its architecture (32 or 64) matches the architecture of the application. When creating the database in Database Tour 32-bit fails, try to do that in Database Tour 64-bit, and vice versa.
